Check out the column George Pelecanos wrote for “The Vulture Diaries” – a daily catalog of his cultural consumption – which features Richmond Fontaine and Willy Vlautin, along with some other great book and movie tips. George Pelecanos is, as far as we’re concerned, the greatest American crime novelist working today. He’s responsible for some of Willy’s favorites – Down by the River Where the Dead Men Go and The Sweet Forever, as well as HBO’s brilliant The Wire and Treme. Willy and the boys greatly appreciate the props from such a revered dude.
